Julián Castro

Julián Castro (September 16, 1974 - April 4, 2068) was an American lawyer and politician who served as the 47th President of the United States from 2029 to 2037. He was the first Hispanic to be elected president of the United States, having previously served as the 49th Vice President of the United States under President Joe Biden and as the U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under President Barack Obama.

Castro was born in San Antonio, Texas on September 16, 1974. His mother was a Chicana political activist who helped establish the Chicano political party La Raza Unida, and had run unsuccessfully for the San Antonio City Council in 1971. His father, Jessie Guzman, was a math teacher and political activist. He graduated from Stanford University in 1996, and enrolled in Harvard Law School the next year.

In 2001, Castro entered politics, being elected to the San Antonio City Council, where he served for four years. In 2009, he was elected Mayor of San Antonio, and went on to become the U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under President Barack Obama in 2014. Six years later, in 2020, Joe Biden selected Castro as his vice presidential nominee, and following Biden's landslide victory in November 2020, was inaguarated as vice president on January 20, 2021.

In 2028, Castro launched his own presidential bid, and captured the Democratic nomination. He won a landslide victory on November 2028, becoming the 47th President of the United States. During his first term, he passed several reforms, such as the Safe Families Act, the Infrastructure Revitalization Act, the Equality Act, and the One Person, One Vote Act.
